Outfits!
Here's a good ol' classic Adelaide, in the outfit you'll see her in most of the time. A real basic picture here. Took this one when a friend asked for some good simple reference pictures of her, so... that's what this is: just Adelaide, all simple-like. Appreciate her.
Here's her with her number one bestie, Gateaux, in matching outfits. It's another one you might see her around in. Did you know some scholars think Gaelicats are voidsent according to their triple triad card description? I think that little fun fact makes Adelaide technically a Reaper, and while she might hit someone with some sharp farming tools while wearing this, she otherwise refuses to look or act the part.
Here's another one of her outfits! This is the only one I didn't put together myself, actually - it was designed collaboratively, in-character, with another player at a tailor venue she ran, which has since shut down (Miriam if you're reading this, hi hope you're doing okay). I never took a fancy artistic gpose showing off this outfit myself, and this screenshot was taken by D'rinha Tia's player when we went to a 'fight club' venue he dragged Adelaide to. Adelaide won this fight, btw.
This one's new, fresh off the presses! The weapons aren't canon - Adelaide can dance, but she can't DNC - but the rest? Yeah, she could wear this. The OOC story behind this one's simple: I was doing treasure maps in Heavensward when that was the highest-level content I'd progressed to, those maps gave me the Thavnairian set, I said "wow, this looks like ideal Dancer gear," and then a few months later, I said, "I'm not sure I like playing a character wearing something this revealing, even when I'm not RP-ing" and I made something else out of necessity. I'm happy with the results!
Non-Canon* Outfits!
So, here's the thing: I like coming up with fun thematic outfits for jobs I play, and also showing 'em off in gpose. Adelaide is not, and probably never will be, a dark knight, or any sort of mage, or a whole lot of the other jobs I'm gonna post here. A few of these could pass as normal outfits, where maybe I could hide the weapon and not look or feel too out-of-character. I've done that a few times for some of them already, actually! Others aren't like that - this first one, Dark Knight, is one of those others.
...this one is also Dark Knight, but it's out-of-commission and replaced with the above one, because I wanted to play DRK in the shadowbringers MSQ (where I still am) and wanted something that shows my face. Still sharing it cause it still holds a special place in my heart. It's also the only one of these that's a jpg instead of a png, because it's old and I hadn't toggled that screenshot setting somewhere in Steam yet, so sorry if it looks lower quality.
This next one is White Mage! The only healer I bothered coming up with a unique outfit for (so far!) and the outfit I get the most compliments on OOC. I tried entering this one into some glamour contest once - it didn't win, but I still feel confident in it and think it's real great.
This is Blue Mage, photographed inside the <<Clown>> FC house, because... well, just look at it. The clown outfit itself was a gift, and you may recognize the rest of the outfit as similar to something that'll be a bit further down on the list. I just think it looks neat :3
And here's Red Mage! Look at that style, that panache, that lack of a weapon cause I only put thought into the clothes and not the main weapon for this glam set! I've told some people before that I'm pretty sure the whole RDM job is a thinly veiled metaphor for bisexuality, and I can only hope this outfit expresses that somehow, in some weird abstract way.
And here's Black Mage, wrapping up all the jobs with -Mage in the name. Listen... Adelaide's not a magician. No connection to Mhach, hasn't known how to read long enough to find any ancient magical tomes, doesn't have an intuitive understanding for this stuff, none of that. Doesn't matter. Look at this outfit. Have a single conversation with Adelaide, learn what she's about, look at this outfit again. It's canon in our hearts and minds and especially on valentione's day and you can't stop me.
Here's Samurai. I don't have much to say about this one. I might swap out the weapon some other time.
Ever wonder what'd happen if you gave a cat a gun? Wonder no longer, cause this catgirl's also a real genuine cowboy! I've worn this one in-character for a special event once (with the weapon hidden) but Adelaide's no gunbreaker, and would never dress like this on her own, only if someone said to her, "hey, let's dress up as cowboys for fun".
Here's the last of the outfits I'd like to share right now. I think it looks casual enough to be ordinary every day wear for Adelaide, in the summer at least. That's some Monk-only gear, though, and I don't think of Adelaide as a martial artist or boxer or anything like that (ignore that one cage match she won that was just a fluke), so I'm tossing it on the non-canon pile just in case.
